Start at China Gate, unofficial entryway into the largest Chinatown outside of Asia. Stop for fortune cookies and dim sum to go.

Little Italy

Head north to Little Italy, stopping to admire the iconic Transamerica Pyramid building. Then, continue through to North Beach.

Lombard St.

Once you hit Lombard Street, trek up until you reach the curvy part that has become world famous.

Ghirardelli Square

Walk downhill, enjoying views of the Golden Gate and Alcatraz Island, until you reach Ghirardelli Square. Grab some free chocolate samples.

Fisherman's Wharf

After your chocolate fix, head towards the piers, stopping by famous Fisherman's Wharf for clam chowder sourdough bread bowls.

Pier 39

Continue down the piers until reaching Pier 39. Pop your head into the quirky shops and watch the famous sea lions sun bathe.

Coit Tower

Walk the Embarcadero along the water, detouring slightly once at Coit Tower. Head up and enjoy 360° views over San Francisco Bay.

Ferry Building

Get back on the Embarcadero, taking in Treasure Island and the Bay Bridge to the east. Stop at the Ferry Building and pop in.

Union Square

Leave the coast and head back downtown through the Financial District until reaching Union Square. Enjoy outdoor dinner with a rooftop view.
